Skybox AB – Battery Safety & Usage Statement

1. General Information

Skybox AB supplies battery-powered systems designed for professional and semi-professional use.
Our products may contain LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) or Lithium-based batteries, selected for performance, stability, and reliability.

All battery systems must be handled with care and used according to the instructions provided.

2. Intended Use

Our battery systems are intended for:

  • Mobile surveillance systems
  • Technical installations
  • Professional field use

They are not intended for consumer misuse, modification, or unsafe environments.

3. Safety Guidelines

To ensure safe operation, users must:

  • Use only approved chargers and cables
  • Never expose batteries to:
    • Water or high humidity
    • Extreme heat or open flames
  • Avoid:
    • Physical damage, puncture, or crushing
    • Short-circuiting terminals
  • Ensure proper ventilation when used in enclosed cases
  • Monitor systems during charging

4. Charging & Handling

  • Charge batteries only with compatible chargers specified by Skybox AB
  • Do not leave batteries charging unattended for extended periods
  • Disconnect immediately if:
    • Overheating occurs
    • Swelling or abnormal behavior is detected

5. Installation & Integration

If the battery is used in a system (camera, router, alarm, etc.):

  • Installation must be performed by a qualified person
  • Incorrect wiring or integration may result in:
    • Damage to equipment
    • Fire risk
    • System failure

Skybox AB is not responsible for improper installations.

6. Transport & Storage

  • Store in a dry, cool environment
  • Avoid full discharge during long-term storage
  • Follow local regulations for lithium battery transport

7. LiFePO4 vs Lithium Notice

  • LiFePO4 batteries are generally more stable and safer
  • Lithium-based batteries require stricter handling due to higher energy density

Both types must be handled responsibly.

8. Limitation of Liability

Skybox AB is not liable for:

  • Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or unauthorized modifications
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Use outside intended applications

The customer assumes full responsibility for safe use after delivery.

9. Compliance

Our systems are designed in accordance with applicable EU standards where relevant.
However, final responsibility for correct usage and integration lies with the user.
